Ruth (Ruth 1:14-19)

Tim Douglass, July 22, 2018
Part of the Other series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

Of all the stories we find in the Scriptures the story of Naomi and Ruth and Boaz is one of the heartwarming and encouraging. That it takes place in the middle of the period of the Judges when there was no King and “every man did what was right in his own eyes” and the nations around Israel were conquering and oppressing the Israelites at every turn makes it even more of blessing to read and study. God is good and His goodness is richly demonstrated as He delivers Ruth and Naomi from their distress in a way that foreshadows how Jesus Christ delivers us.
