Galatians 4:21-31 (Galatians 4:21-31)

Tim Douglass, January 13, 2019
Part of the Galatians series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

Abraham, Sarah and Hagar, Ishmael and Isaac, slavery and freedom, the covenant of law and the covenant of grace, flesh and Spirit; these are the contrasts that Paul puts before the Galatians. The Gospel is not only fundamentally different from the previous covenant, its differences were shown by God long before Christ came to earth. We can see throughout the Old Testament images of God’s grace and the freedom that He offers but it took the gift of salvation in Christ before those things were realized.
