From the basic idea of how our sin nature opposes the will of the Holy Spirit, Paul goes into greater detail on how this actually looks in our lives. In the first part of this he talks about the things we do when we allow our natural sin nature to rule us. These are the things that we struggle against and which separate us from a right relationship with God.
