Galatians 5:25-6:5 (Galatians 5:25-6:5)

Tim Douglass, May 26, 2019
Part of the Galatians series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

There are a lot of challenges in the Christian life. One of the big ones is trying not to fall back into the ways of the flesh, but it is one that virtually every Christian will fail at from time to time. We are simply not able to stand fast. If we do stumble, however, the rest of the body of believers should be there to help us. We have some pretty specific instructions at the start of Chapter 6 that give us an idea of how to deal with both our own failings and those of others.

Galatians 5:25-6:5

25If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. 2Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. 3For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. 4But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5For every man shall bear his own burden.
