1 Thessalonians 4:1-8 (1 Thessalonians 4:1-8)

Tim Douglass, October 13, 2019
Part of the 1 Thessalonians series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

At this point we shift gears a bit and Paul begins to address some more practical issues of belief and behavior. Chapter 4 begins with the word “finally”, which isn’t really a concluding statement, but rather a transition from the personal comments at the beginning to the major content of the letter. The theme of most the comments has to do with Christian living, and that is where he begins. One word that really defines this section is “sanctification”. So that is where we are going to start.
