Hebrews 3 (Hebrews 3:1-19)

Tim Douglass, October 23, 2016
Part of the Letter to the Hebrews series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

Throughout Hebrews there are warnings that we need to take seriously. The author knew that his readers were facing a lot of issues and that they would naturally begin to doubt and seek an easy way out, that’s just normal human nature. The current warning can be seen as “Do not harden your hearts”, and looks back at the failures of the Israelites after they were led by the Lord out of Egypt. They saw the power and love of God, but still went their own way. We are warned to guard ourselves against that type of hardening in our own hearts.
