As we progress through Paul’s discussion of the problems in Corinth, we encounter this statement about the temple of God, which raises a number of questions around what exactly it means to be that temple, and what it means to be holy. In the Old Testament the temple was a profound and almost mysterious place, with great significance to those who worshiped the Lord. With the coming of Christ there was a great shift in the relationship between God and humans, and the temple is at the heart of that.
