People From Every Nation Around the Throne (Revelation 7:9-12)

Tim Douglass, December 18, 2016
Part of the Advent 2016 series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

This is the fourth Sunday of Advent.

Revelation seems like a bit of a strange place to go as we get this close to Christmas, but the story of Christmas really needs to involve all of the story of Christ, from His pre-time existence to His eternal reign over the new Heaven and new Earth. Jesus, the son of Mary and Joseph was a Jew, and He was filling the role of the Messiah of the Jews and was declared the King of the Jews. For all this Jewish background, however, God never intended Jesus to be strictly for them. He is the savior of all the world, His birth is cause for any person, of any race or nationality, to rejoice. So let’s all rejoice in the fact that Jesus was born for all of us as we enter into the last week before we celebrate His birth.
