1 Corinthians 14:20-25 (1 Corinthians 14:20-25)

Tim Douglass, October 24, 2021
Part of the 1 Corinthians series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

As we continue to move through this section of 1 Corinthians we need to consider a couple of interesting/challenging bits in these verses. One thing to think about is what Paul means with this quote from Isaiah. In some ways it seems like he is making a bit of an improbable connection from it, so we need to try to understand. Another bit that really needs to be considered carefully is Paul’s comments about tongues and prophesy and their usefulness for believers and non-believers. Understanding how God intends things to be used gives us a pretty good clue for how we should try to use them, so let’s dig in.
