1 Corinthians 14:26-40 (1 Corinthians 14:26-40)

Tim Douglass, October 31, 2021
Part of the 1 Corinthians series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

The Corinthian church has issues. We’ve looked at a lot of the underlying problems, but all of those things seem to come together in their worship services, with chaos and disorder being the hallmark. Paul is concerned about how this subverts the Gospel message to the “event” of church and he wants to see them return to a type of meeting where God is first and everything they do is directed toward serving Him better. Along the way he is going to address the role of tongues, prophesy, and women in a proper worship service. We can learn a lot about how we should come together to worship from this section.
