Christ is Born! (Luke 2:1-20)

Tim Douglass, December 25, 2016
Part of the Advent 2016 series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

Christmas day is here! Now Jesus is born and we can really celebrate God’s amazing and unique gift to mankind. It’s interesting to note that the two big celebrations in the life of Jesus were at His birth and when He entered Jerusalem a week before His crucifixion. The first time it was a bunch of angels who got it started and it was then carried on by the shepherds and others who came and saw the baby. The second one was started by a lot of people who didn’t understand the mission Jesus was on who cheered for a while then sort of faded out. We want to be ones whose joy in the birth of Jesus carries on into every day of our lives for as long as we live.

Rejoice, the King is born!
