Isaiah 53:1-6 - Part 2 (Isaiah 53:1-6)

Tim Douglass, May 29, 2022
Part of the Isaiah 53 series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

Last week we started looking at the message of Isaiah 53 and discussed the first two verses. When Jesus came He did not come as a “beautiful person”. The prophet specifically called out that He would not have traditional human attractiveness to draw people to Him. Furthermore, the very things that He would do on our behalf would cause people to turn away from Him and reject Him. The prophesies around Jesus are incredibly revealing of human nature. As we look farther into this section we see the failure of human understanding when confronted with God’s wisdom.
