Last week we talked about the word of God as living and powerful, but the writer of Hebrews goes on from there to talk about what the word can actually do in the lives of those who believe it. It is now described as piercing, discerning, and seeing. As we look into these characteristics we can see how important it is for us to study, learn, and meditate on the word if we want to allow God to work in and through us.
