First Sunday of Advent - Prophet (John 12:44-50)

Tim Douglass, November 27, 2022
Part of the Advent 2022 series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

This Sunday is the first Sunday in Advent, that period of weeks when we prepare ourselves for Christmas. Traditionally Christians have, through a variety of things, sought to spend the weeks leading up to Christmas focusing on Jesus and on trying to draw closer to Him. This year we are going to look each week at one of the roles that Jesus has in His earthly ministry. During that ministry He is a prophet, a priest, a redeemer, and a king. Each week we will examine one of these starting this week with Jesus as prophet.
