For the Third Sunday in Advent we are continuing to look at the various roles that Jesus had in His earthly ministry. We’ve examined His roles of Prophet and Priest, now we come to what is arguably the most important role that Jesus has–that of Redeemer. What exactly do we mean by “redeemer”, how is Jesus a redeemer, and what does it mean for us? Those are vital questions that we need to think about as we work our way toward Christmas.
