At the end of the day, where did the faith of these Old Testament believers get them? For many the end results weren’t great from a worldly perspective, but God didn’t abandon them or ignore them. They were recognized by Him as having earned a good reputation because of their faith, but there was still more ahead. The true and complete salvation that they hoped for and needed was promised, but only received after all these people had died. God’s plan for them was different.
