Hebrews 12:3-17 (Hebrews 12:3-17)

Tim Douglass, February 25, 2018
Part of the Letter to the Hebrews series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

We all encounter difficult things in life, from minor hardships to outright tragedy. It’s easy to think that God has abandoned us when things go wrong, or to think that He is punishing us for some reason. But what is really happening? Does God really strike us for our mistakes, or leave us to suffer alone? In this section the writer uses God’s chastening to make his point about remaining faithful stronger, but he also ends up raising a bunch of really good questions that we can benefit from examining.
