After his brief discussion of the reason why the Thessalonians shouldn’t worry about the return of the Lord, Paul now shifts to emphasize the positive things about them and why he has confidence in them. There are those who are under condemnation, but that’s not who he is writing to. This is one of the most encouraging passages in Paul’s writing.
