Jesus began His ministry with the very symbolic miracle at Cana, and John then leads from that relatively private declaration to a very public declaration of who He is. This is a challenging section for a couple of reasons. One is the very significant implications of His actions, but it is also a story that appears to be identical to one in the other Gospels but they have it at the end of Jesus’ ministry rather than the beginning. We need to look at all of these parts today.
