To this point Paul has been emphasizing the simplicity of the message of Christ and the importance of keeping the focus on Christ and Him alone, but that isn’t the entire message of this letter. There are some serious things wrong in the Corinthian church and those things need to be dealt with. That’s where Paul is now going to take them, and he is going to start by talking about the nature and source of true wisdom.
