Touchstone Verses (1 John 1:4-2:2)

Tim Douglass, September 13, 2020
Part of the Other series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

There are some verses that seem to capture a whole world of meaning in just a few words. Often they connect us mentally to a longer passage and the idea contained therein. Mentally I call these my "touchstone" verses, which is stretching the meaning of the term, but it works for me. For me, 1 John 1:9 is one of my most important touchstone verses.

This message is an extended devotional that I shared on September 13, 2020 at the home of some friends from church with whom we were staying while we were evacuated from our home because of wildfire danger. The evacuation zone included the church, so we couldn't have services, instead we had a worship time with our friends and our family.
