Palm Sunday - 2022 (John 12:12-19)

Tim Douglass, April 10, 2022
Part of the Other series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

Palm Sunday is a somewhat difficult “special day” to categorize. It really only makes sense in the overall context of the lead-up to the crucifixion and even in that we struggle with it sometimes. The basic events are pretty simple, but the reasons why Jesus did what He did and the significance of some of His actions take a bit of thought to fully understand. One of the big things we need to spend some time on this morning is how Palm Sunday looks forward to both the immediate events of the crucifixion and resurrection and how it also directs our attention toward the Lord’s ultimate return.
