Last week I started to explore this list of various ways in which Paul’s ministry is recommended to the Corinthians. The first item in the entire list is patience, or steadfast endurance which in many ways sets the tone for the entire discussion. After that he goes on to list six things that have happened to him that have required some of that endurance. As we work through the list we see how Paul’s ministry has been attested to not by his words, but by his experience. Sometimes the quality of our relationship with God is seen in the things we endure.
