2 Corinthians 11:16-29 (2 Corinthians 11:16-29)

Tim Douglass, January 7, 2024
Part of the 2 Corinthians series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

Today we return to our series on 2 Corinthians, and for most of us we probably need a bit of a refresher to know where we were and what was going on. From the start of Chapter 10 Paul has been speaking boldly about both his authority and the nature of the false teachers who are causing problems for the Corinthian church. As we go forward Paul is making a sometimes-sarcastic boast about his superiority to those false apostles. There are interesting shifts between the wildly sarcastic and bluntly serious defenses of his position. He basically begins this section by asking them to allow him to talk wild for a bit.
