There are many things in Scripture that we don’t fully understand, but one that has probably been responsible for more speculation than just about any other is the account of Melchizedek. He is mentioned only 3 times in Scripture and those mentions are each separated by about a thousand years. So why is he of such interest and why does he get such a prominent discussion in Hebrews? Let’s take a look at the first mention and go from there.
