1 Corinthians 11:17-34 - Part 2 (1 Corinthians 11:17-34)

Tim Douglass, May 23, 2021
Part of the 1 Corinthians series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

Having thoroughly discussed the background and context of Paul’s comments about the Lord’s Supper in Corinth, we now need to take the sacrament itself and consider how it was observed, what it means, and how we should observe it today. The people in the Corinthian church don’t seem to really understand the significance of the Lord’s Supper. It has become sort of integrated into their love feasts, and as such has gotten a bit lost in the chaos. Their behavior around the Lord’s Supper is indicative of deeper problems that Paul wants to address.
