This Sunday is the Second Sunday in Advent. After talking last week about how God’s plan for Christmas began from the dawn of time and was foretold in many ways through prophesy across the centuries, today we are going to consider the spiritual attitude that was necessary for those who were waiting year after year without seeing the prophesy fulfilled. We have prophesies of the Lord’s return that we are waiting for their fulfillment, so we are in much the same situation that those men and women from long ago were in.
