Paul’s discussion of his authority and ability continues into a look at the right that he has to exercise authority over the Corinthian church. He then moves on a bit to focus on his reasons for wanting things to be sorted out. Most importantly, he wants them to share his desire to look beyond their immediate condition and situation and join him is trying to spread the Gospel to other places.
