Hebrews 4:11-16 - Part 3 (Hebrews 4:11-16)

Tim Douglass, January 29, 2017
Part of the Letter to the Hebrews series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

This is our third look into how the word of God reveals what is in us. There is a transition in verse 13 to where it talks about the word as a direct extension of God rather than as the abstract two-edged sword of earlier. Now we see that through the word God is seeing us, measuring us, testing us. We are confronted with the truth that we need to give close attention to what God says and to what we do, because He is paying attention and He will demand an accounting from us for what we have done.
